This fella was painted last time I visited Montana. My son John has been attending school there for the past five years, and I have had opportunities to go out there, and to paint with my favorite studio artist, Kara Tripp, in Bozeman. As John’s time is drawing to an end there, so is my ability to visit this beautiful place. This painting reminds me of all my wonderful memories from there, and of painting with Kara. Thank you, Johnny, for giving me your bed when I would come visit, (this painting’s for you!!!)…And thank you, Kara, for teaching me so much! You set the bar high enough that I will never reach it, but I will never stop trying…
