My name is Pat, welcome to my website! I live in Knoxville, TN with my husband, Jim, and started painting in the fall of 2015 in a small local art class, just for fun. I soon discovered that painting was my way of interpreting the world and expressing its beauty. Through the encouragement and patience of my teacher, Anna Shastid, of Knoxville, I was delighted to find a creative side I didn't know I had.
When I'm not painting, I love to travel and visit my four grown sons in different parts of the U.S. It was on one of these occasions that I discovered what is now my passion: palette knife painting. I was privileged to meet an artist in Bozeman, MT, who introduced me to this beautiful form of expression, and I don't think I will ever go back to using brushes again!
It is my teacher Anna who reminds me that anything good which comes from my efforts to paint, is from the Lord Jesus Himself, and I am finding that to be true. I am thankful for Anna's influence and training. Also, I'm grateful for Kara Tripp in Bozeman, MT, who has helped me to find a style of expression that has shaped me into the painter that I want to become.
Please join me as we explore the beauty of the world around us, and grow in our appreciation of the One Who created it.
Thank you for visiting!
